Welcome to Year 6

Welcome back after what is hopefully a wonderful summer-break. It is great to see everyone back in school. We hope that you have had many wonderful adventures. Welcome to Year 6, where we hope to have the best final year of primary school. Please see our class page below for further information.

Curriculum  

Maths: In Maths, we will be looking at place value and then moving on to the methods needed for the four operations. 

English: We are looking at entertaining the reader through a range of different text types - building on skills that develop sentence structure and use of language and vocabulary. 

RE: In RE, we will be looking at how Creation and Science can be conflicting or complimentary. 

ART - We will be looking at creating our own art, inspired by the likes of 'Banksy' on the theme of World War Two. 

History- In History, we will be looking at the effects of World War Two and how the event impacted on society then and now. 

PE: In PE we will be developing our skills in Tag Rugby and Dance. 

(PE days will be on Monday and Thursday. Please can pupils come to school in PE kits on these days). 

 

Year 6 Residential 

Please remember that in a few weeks we shall be going on our residential. If you have any concerns, please feel free to email the class teacher who will respond as quickly as possible.
