Contract: Part time and permanent (5 mornings per week 08:30 – 12:00, term time only plus TED Days

Due to the retirement of our existing Finance Administrator, the Governors and staff of our large church school are seeking to appoint a suitably qualified Finance Administrator to work as part of our dynamic and forward-thinking Administrative team. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced and committed Individual to play a key role in the smooth operation of our finance function within the school. The successful candidate will work closely with the Business Manager, Headteacher, Governors and wider leadership team to maintain and further develop the schools financial function as well as be part of and support the school’s strong Christian ethos, high standards of customer service, and good working relationships both internal and external to the school. We are looking for an inspirational practitioner, ideally with a proven track record of schools finance, a willingness to learn a new finance database; Tech One, and a passion for operating a clear and transparent finance function that is subject to external audit scrutiny. 

The successful candidate will: 

  • Have a proven track record of finance, ideally within a school environment 

  • Have experience of working within an administrative environment; school setting  

  • Have a clear understanding of the financial procedures and processes within a school 

  • Have high work ethic with a pride for attention to detail 

  • Be prepared to undertake training as required 

  • To work effectively and efficiently in a fast paced school office environment 

  • Be forward thinking, innovative and highly energetic  

  • Be able to work well as part of our whole school team and school community 

  • Support our Christian ethos as a church school
